Chuck and Ramona Shawver

Chuck and Ramona returned to Mexico as missionaries in 2008, under the sponsorship of International Ministries of the American Baptist Churches in the U.S.

After spending one year in San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas, as interim-coordinators of the Mayan Intercultural Seminary (SIM), they have now joined the faculty at the Baptist Seminary in Mexico City. Ramona works with professors and students as academic advisor. Chuck coordinates pastoral assignments and teach in the Seminary extension programs. They also help with administrative and other housekeeping tasks at the Seminary.

Chuck and Ramona also make regular trips to visit churches in Chiapas, Oaxaca, Puebla, Tlaxcala and the State of Mexico. They do workshops, preach, do pastoral care and are also involved in several church building programs. From time to time, they coordinate mission teams that come to visit from the United States.
