We are a Christian congregation affiliated with the American Baptist Churches U.S.A. Our ministry as a congregation began in 1950, continued as the Hispanic Department of First Baptist Church of Bakersfield (today, Olive Drive Church) beginning in 1969, and finally became organized as an independent congregation in 1980.
We are located in Bakersfield, California, about 110 miles north of Los Angeles.
Our congregation is made up of people from different Latin American nationalities, although the majority are bilingual U.S. natives. Our church services are mainly in Spanish but we also have an English Worship Service early Sunday morning. It will be a pleasure to meet you personally.

Pastoral Search Process
Our church is in a pastoral search process. The minimum requirements for this position are as follows:
- Be a Baptist minister with an ordination and credentials recognized by the American Baptist Churches USA.
- Have a solid theological and pastoral education from an accredited Seminary.
- Have at least five years of pastoral experience.
- Be a U.S. citizen or a legal resident of the United States.
- Have excellent references and recommendations, especially from his current or last congregation.
